Curwon Pty Ltd is privately owned by Duncan Hardie & Michael Thirnbeck.

Michael brings his extensive knowledge and experience as a geologist with over 30 years in managing numerous mineral development projects in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Australia.

Duncan’s successes in mineral resources and other projects are founded upon his ability to identify early strategic opportunities, bringing the necessary financing and team together.

Michael Thirnbeck

Michael Thirnbeck has been involved in the mineral exploration and mining sector primarily in Indonesia, PNG and Australia for over 30 years. As a member of the AusIMM since 1989 (#109115) Michael is regarded as a competent person particularly in reporting of gold, copper and nickel mineral exploration results.

Michael has been actively participating in greenfields exploration in Queensland for over 7 years focusing on gold and copper all within the Mossman Orogen.

Duncan Hardie

Queensland based Duncan Hardie is the Director of Hardie Pacific Limited, the main holding company for Australian and New Zealand operations. He has successfully explored several regions of the world for minerals, petroleum and coal including Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and South America. Duncan has enjoyed 45 successful years in mineral and energy greenfield exploration companies and is looking forward to his newest venture.

Kathy 'Pixie' Hughes

Mareeba, Far North Queensland based Pixie brings a wealth of experience working as a geologist and project manager at all levels within business, from local government to listed corporates and from greenfields projects to more established developers and miners. She is as comfortable being hands-on with exploration as she is with operations and project management. Pixie has worked with gold, copper, iron ore, tin and silica projects throughout Queensland and further afield.

Tom Ritchie

Tom is a senior geologist with a strong interest in exploration in New Zealand and Australia. In 2016, in addition to overseeing the Solomon Island Garnet project, he completed his Master of Science Degree at the University of Otago studying the source of South Island garnets. Tom has experience with tungsten and gold exploration at Hyde/Smylers Gold and Barewood projects in Central Otago, New Zealand.

Jeremy Belcher

Mareeba, Far North Queensland based Jeremy’s focus is on field exploration and drill rig supervision. He brings to the team strong problem solving on technical matters and ensuring the field data is undertaken and collected accurately.

Mitchell Keenan

Mitch is an exploration geologist who has worked on a variety of different mineral deposits across New Zealand from West Coast placer gold, garnet and ilmenite deposits through to orogenic gold mineralisation associated with the Reefton Goldfields and the Otago based Hyde Macraes Shear Zone. His key skills include remote field mapping and sampling, reporting, overseeing RC and Diamond drilling operations and community liaison.

Jess Ellis

Sydney based, Jess Ellis is the Project Coordinator and works closely with Management and our Geologists to facilitate the delivery of our mineral exploration projects in Queensland.

Jamie Boswell

Jamie is the GIS and database manager who is responsible for data collection, coordination and compilation. Jamie has over 20 years’ experience managing across the PNG, Australia, NZ and South America. Jamie was responsible for the Groups data collection for the NSW Petroleum and PNG Coal potential projects.

Nick Hansen

Nick is a recent graduate geologist and he has passion for Australian and New Zealand geology. He is currently gaining experience in field mapping and sampling.
